  • The Hill Aerospace Museum is looking for volunteers to help in the museum in Roy.  Onsite orientation is provided and two shifts are available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 to 4:30 p.m.  Please contact George Donahue at 801-775-4631 for more information. 
  • Serenity House, an alcohol and drug addiction recovery center in Ogden, is searching for a volunteer for light clerical and filing on Thursday afternoons.  Please call admissions coordinator Jamie North at 801-392-5971 
  • Catholic Community Services of Northern Utah is looking for volunteers to assist anytime between noon and 5 p.m. with the annual Mail Handler's Food Drive on Saturday, May 12.  This is a great opportunity for a large group!  The food bank is also looking for warehouse workers, client intake volunteers, and driver assistants  Contact coordinator Karina Martin at 801-428-1296 or kmartin@ccsutah.org. 
  • RAMP Summer Art Camp is searching for talented volunteers who would like to share their enthusiasm for theater, guitar, photography, creative writing and visual arts. Contact Sally Carter at United Way of Northern Utah (801-399-5584 or scarter@uwnu.org).     
  •  The Girl Scouts of Utah are planning weekly meetings for girls as an introduction to scouting. They need volunteers to serve as leaders for this five-week program. Lesson plans and materials will be provided along with a brief training before the session starts. This is an ideal position for a former Girl Scout who wants to encourage girls to join a troop in the fall. Contact June Loveless at 1-800-678-7802 ext. 12 or jloveless@gsutah.org   
  • Do you live in Box Elder County? The Community Pantry needs volunteers on Thursdays to assist customers at their store. Shifts are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 1-4 p.m. Contact Linda Hansen at beep@qwestoffice.net. Habitat for Humanity serving Box Elder County is in need of people who would like to serve as committee and board members. Contact Shannon Dixon at 435-723-7133 or hfhnu@brigham.net.  
  • Your Community Connection (YCC) is in need of volunteers to provide support for the Domestic Violence Shelter on weekends. Shifts are four hours from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All training is provided and volunteers must pass a background check. This is a minimum six-month commitment. Contact Raquel Lee at 801-689-1702 or RLee@yccogden.or  
  •  The EcclesCommunityArtCenter has an opening for a volunteer sales position in their gift gallery on the grounds of the center.   •  Be a supervisor for Weber/Davis Habitat for Humanity’s new program, “A Brush with Kindness.” This is a program where volunteers perform affordable exterior work, landscaping, painting and minor home repairs at their own pace or as a group project. Supervisor qualifications include some home improvement and construction skills and a desire to organize a group to help others. Contact Dave Crumb at 208-315-2438 or crumerelli@hotmail.com  
  • The Ogden Nature Center Fun Run is Saturday, May 12 from 6 to 9:30 a.m.  Volunteers are needed to prepare materials the week of the event or be course marshalls and assist with registration the day of the run.  Plans are also being made for a massive garden, building and grounds clean-up on May 10, which is Make a Difference Day.  Contact Jenny Frame at 801-621-7595 or frame@ogdennaturecenter.org

  • Several organizations need outdoor help now that spring is here. Weber Pathways (wp@weberpathways.org) is making plans to pull weeds and clear the Rail Trail; the Junior League of Ogden (www.JLOgden.org) is planning work days for their Oasis Community Garden each month, and Cornerstone Financial Education (www.csfedu.org) is looking for a group that needs a service project to clean the building that houses Family Support Center, Cornerstone and Utah Foster Care.
  • Phoenix Services Corporation is an organization that empowers people who have experienced a brain injury with customized, unique and individual support so their true potential can be achieved in the community. They will be hosting a 20th celebration 5K run and breakfast in Clearfield on July 2nd. They are looking for volunteers that will serve on the event committee and volunteer the day of the race. Please contact Carrie Bambrough at 801-825-4535.
