Weber Pathways is a non-profit organization that plans, promotes and protects non-motorized trails and open space in Weber County. They have a great tradition of volunteer support for their projects. On the Bonneville Shoreline North, they need construction leaders and trail builders. Work is beginning this Saturday, Oct. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and continues evenings and Saturdays until the weather prohibits. Plan on relatively heavy work, so wear long work pants and bring work gloves and water-other tools will be provided. Another opportunity is to volunteer to be a trailer leader to conduct trail-related activities. Outings can be educationally oriented and include history of the area, moonlight hikes, geocaching and/or photography. Volunteers may choose what type of outing and the times and dates they are available. Light clerical help in the offices of Weber Pathways is also needed. Please contact Weber Pathways for more information at 801-393-2304 or outreach@weberpathways.org.
