It's a new trend putting the monthly focus on here at the end of the month.
The focus this month was paper products and the challenge was to buy some, well it was something like that I guess I need to pay better attention.
ONE THING I DO KNOW In an emergency I do NOT want to be without paper products, one in particular.
yep
Toilet paper
I once actually did a cost comparison of different types of tp and the winner for easy to get, affordable and tolerable to my family (it's a personal choice right!?) was the Sam's club brand.
Member's Mark Ultra Premium bath tissue
Here's my quick look at it
Amazon - Charmin Ultra soft for a 198 sheet roll, 2-ply $1.22
Costco - Charmin basic 190 sheet roll, 1-ply .64 cents
Sam's club - 220 sheet roll 2-ply .47 cents
This is a little weird to be looking at the price of TP but you really do have to buy it often (especially with 6 kids).
Here's an interesting video from CNBC about how toilet paper is Costco's Top Selling Product (a billion rolls a year).
And an interesting article about consumer reports and a brand show-down among toilet papers. (Wal-mart's white cloud won but Costco's was cheaper).
